觀光客達1千萬人次 10天內實現
【台灣醒報記者鄭國強台北報導】「估計在17、18日，今年來台觀光旅客人數達到1000萬人次。」行政院發言人孫立群10日在行政院會後記者會上宣布佳音，但對於我方將準備什麼「大禮」迎接保持神祕。然而副總統吳敦義卻早在上週的旅展中預告了答案，他說「禮品少說也要一卡車才行。」
副總統吳敦義有感於來台觀光人數今年可望突破1千萬人次，從7月起一直到上週旅遊展致詞，時常時提到台灣今年觀光將加入「1千萬俱樂部」，上週在旅展時致詞時再度表示，我國去年觀光人次成長超過23％，排名全球第2名，前年來台觀光人數801萬人、去年990萬人次，今年可望突破1千萬人次。
孫立群10日在行政院會後記者會上表示，根據統計，今年到12月7日為止，來台觀光人數已達963.1萬人次，案估計將在12月17或18日出現今年第1千萬位來台旅客，已規劃全台各地機場做好準備，至於將會贈送什麼「見面禮」，孫立群露出神秘的笑容，他表示，等下周開記者會再宣布。
雖然孫立群說要保持神祕，但吳副總統在上週便說，民國九十九年第500萬人是一位來自日本的女生，當時他擔任行政院長送出一牛車的禮品，今年突破千萬是更大的喜事，禮品少說也要一卡車才行。不論是準備什麼見面禮，吳副總統認為這背後反映出政府在發展觀光產業上的努力，與台灣治安的良好。
